The Kin Konnection Day will be for everyone that is interested in a family
tree or have a stumbling block in their research to get some help in his
or her research. Researchers will have the opportunity to meet other
cousins and share family history or genealogy information. Research will be
available this day and people will have the opportunity to tour the library and
ask questions. Librarians will be available on duty to assist researchers.
A group of researchers with years of experience will be available to share
information with other researchers. This group has family from every part
of Blair County and into Bedford and Huntingdon Counties. Most have
information back to and before 1846, the formation of Blair County. Some may even
belong to the Daughters or Sons of the American Revolution. Information
will be available on different Cultures, including the African American
families of Blair County.
A partial list of names the group will have information on is: Aurandt,
Bathurst, Bousum, Brenneman, Delozier, Elder, Eller, Emigh, Feathers,
Gutwald, Henderson, Hoover, Imler, Kelly, Lowe, McClellan, McIntire, Moyer,
Musselman, Pottsgrove, Shaffer, Snyder, Speece, Spielman, Stimer, Walker, Walter,
Williams, Wilt, Woomer, Yingling Streightiff, Thompson, Delozier,
Litzinger and many other names from the Blair County Area
Genealogy books will be on for sale including the Burley, Claar, Rhodes,
Claycomb, Keller, Huyett, Igou, Moyer, Joseph Snyder, Peter Kratzert, Mock,
Ickes, Musselman, and more.
The 1846 tax records will be available; people may look for relatives that
may have lived when Blair County was formed. A direct relative listed in
this book would qualify them to be a member of the First Family of Blair
County. Find out more information to be a member of this group.
Whether you are starting a family tree or you have a stumbling block in
your research, this will be the time to meet others that may have information
on your family. Challenge us with your name and see where it will lead
you. Come out and join us, bring a friend and have a good time.
