Hi Jim, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I have some info for you and hope it gives you some leads. Daniel Golden Strong b.1872 who married Irma Householder b.1875, (daughter of John & Samantha Householder of McConnellstown) lived in Penn Run, Cherryhill township, Indiana County, PA from the 1920 census on. An article says he moved back to his former home section in 1915. In 1900 they lived in Pitcairn. I found from articles in the Indiana Evening Gazette that his father was Daniel C. Strong 1840-1911 of Co F PA 55th and his mother was Sara Brown. Daniel C.(the elder Dan) had a brother Jacob who moved to Mineral Point, Ohio in 1867. I haven't found other siblings or an Andrew but if he is related to this Strong family you might try looking in the Strongstown, Indiana Co area. I did find a George Strong 1825-1904 who's will was in the Indiana Progress Mar 30, 1904 pg 1 and says that his assets should go to his wife and then to his son A.W. Strong. George is buried at Pine Land Cemetery, Strongstown, Indiana Co., PA. Nearby at the Union Cemetery in Strongstown is James Strong 1765-5Mar1837. I haven't found enough yet to say Daniel, George or James are related.
The siblings that I found for Irma's husband Daniel from his father's obituary in 1911 are John, Harvey, Jacob G., all of Cherryhill twp; Mrs. William Faith of Greensburg, Archie of Vandergriff, Thomas of Tahoma, & Mrs Loughry Shank of Penn Run. I also found a Herbert called ?Bert? I hope these send you in the right direction instead of a wild goose chase. Enjoy the hunt! I'd love to connect with John.
