Could the Jane Norris in this photo be the one who married David Beaver Harker? If so, it would be the first photo I have seen of her. Who was her father?

This Jane Norris DID NOT MARRY. She was 16 years old when her mother died in childbirth. She wanted to marry Alonzo Yocum, but her father forbade the marriage, insisting that she stay home and help with the eight children younger than herself. Neither Jane nor Alonzo ever married.

Thanks Deb. I will try that .... after I get some ink lol. The Norris family album contains many many photos of my husbands direct ancesters and also some of mine! If you could email me this photo especially as it has my husband 3rd great grandfather and my 3rd great grandmother --- I would be so indebted to you!

If you need more than that, just let me know which photos you would like, and I will e-mail them to you. I hate to set the controls like this, but when I first put my website on-line, someone started downloading every single image on the website, and I was worried about where they might end up.

The Jane Norris in this photo never married to my knowledge. She is the daughter of David and Elizabeth Norris. Do you know anything about the father of Jane Norris who married David Beaver Harker? I do not know who her father was, but I have a strong suspicion she belongs to a descendent of John D. Norris, a brother of Joseph Norris, the ancestor of David Norris above. I have another researcher on the site, who I will contact to see if he can help with where she fits in.
