Oscar Johnson was a traveling minstrel who spent part of his year in Marklesburg and the winters in Florida. He was born in Marklesburg, a son of George and Louisa (Megahan) Johnson. Oscar put on black make-up and a green velvet coat, used a sheet as a backdrop, and played all sorts of musical instruments. I have other photos available from the late Clair Hetrick.
I would be interested in seeing your other photos from Clair Hetrick. Clair "pappy" Hetrick was my grandfather, and Oscar Johnson was my great grand uncle. small world. thank you

Oscar Johnson was my great grand uncle. I have always had an interest in more about my father's side of the family. If you have anything more you could share, I would love to see more. thank you!
