Anthony J. Beaver (1832-1899) wrote this letter to his brother, presumably Jackson S. Beaver. Anthony served with Co. C of the 53rd PVI, and was located near Harper's Ferry at the time of this letter. He mentions local names who are actually at Harper's Ferry. This letter was shared with me by Anthony's great-granddaughter, Joanne Sauter.
