The Penn Grange #1001 was organized on January 2, 1891 and was active from 1891-1905 at Grafton.  In 1902-1903, the officers were:

Solomon Lininger, Master

J. F. Hoover, Lecturer

H. F. Peightal, Secretary

It reorganized and changed to the McConnellstown Grange in 1905, but kept the number #1001.  In 1907, it moved from Grafton to McConnellstown and changed to #1347.  From 1907-1909, there were several Norris families involved.  It closed in 1911 due to some conflict.  In 1918, it was reorganized and finally closed in 1990 when the McConnellstown Grange reorganized with Hartslog Valley.
