I took the date of July 24th from last year's Garner family write up in the Huntingdon Daily News. So, if you received a letter with the 31st, I am sure that is correct! I will try to contact an organizer just to make sure, but please plan on the 31st! Sorry for any confusion.

Would love to see pictures and the pages from the family Bible of Emma Ealy and J. G. Kyper. Yes I believe we are also related to the Garners. I would like to attend the reunion in July but I am in California and it is difficult to make the trip at that time.

As soon as I can find someone to scan the picture for me, I'll post it. I also have the Emma Ealy and John Griffith Kyper family Bible. I will, hopefully, scan the pertinent pages and post them. I am going to try to go to the Garner family reunion on July 24th. I think the Ealys are related to this family.

Emma Reed (Ealy) Kyper is the sister of my paternal great grandmother, Matilda Carolyn (Ealy) Blatt. I also have an actual calling card of Emma Kyper, with her picture on it and also a formal portrait of her. I would appreciate it if you could post pictures of her with her husband and children on this site, if possible. I have a few pictures of Matilda and her sisters and one brother. Not quite sure which is which, but I have identified some of them. Any info. you have I would love to share.

Emma Reed (Ealy) Kyper is my maternal great grandmother. I have a photo of her with her husband, John Griffith Kyper and most of their children. I also have an actual calling card of hers that is on this website. I hope to come to the Garner Reunion this summer.

Ralph Garner says...
I have a couple of Photos to send as soon as I get them out of storage. Not long ago Sara and I were in an Antique shop in Sanford Florida and we seen beautiful pictures from the 1900's to the mid 1850's, scattered all over the floor and people walking all over them. Is this the way to preserve the past?

Oh, Ralph, that makes me sick! It always makes me sad when I am at a public auction and people are selling their family photographs. Didn't anyone want them? I was at an auction back in June in Entriken and I watched box after box of OLD photos sold. Had I known then that I was going to start this website, I would have bought them! I did buy quite a few obituaries that I'll get posted some day.
