With the country in the throes of the Great Depression, newly elected President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the Civilian Conservation Corps in April of 1933. Wildly popular with the public, the CCC performed much needed conservation work, and brought a public awareness to protecting the environment.. Join us for a look at the CCC given by historian John Eastlake. At the Blacksmith Shop.
