Tammy Shupard Brandt shared photos with me of her grandfather, Herbert Ross Shupard Sr. (1914-2008), and his time with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Huntingdon County at Camp S-61, Diamond Valley, in Petersburg, PA. Herbert Shupard was from the Philadelphia area at the time of his service in Huntingdon County.

Herbert Shupard is in the front row, second from the left. It is wonderful that Tammy found my website, and was so willing to share her family photos.
There was just a write up about the 1936 St. Patrick's Day Flood in the Huntingdon Daily News. The article talked about the role of the Civilian Conservation Corps and how the men helped to rebuild the roads and infrastructure of Huntingdon County after the flood.
You can view more of Tammy's photos of the Diamond Valley camp in the Civilian Conservation Corps photo album.
