Go Ahead...Add a Document!

Posted on March 13, 2011 at 7:48 PM

Recently, I announced a new application that allows members to add documents of interest to the website.  During a trial period, I had it set that only an administrator could add new documents.   It seems as if everything is going well, so I have adjusted the settings so that members can now add their own documents.

If you have a genealogy or family related document that you would like to include on this website for others to view, you can post it in the Family History Documents section.  The document must be in a

  • .doc (Microsoft Word)
  • .docx (Microsoft Office)
  • .pdf (Portable Document Format)
  • .xls (Microsoft Excel Worksheet)
  • .ppt (Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation)

format for inclusion on the website.  If you have a document you want to share that is not in one of these formats, please forward it to me via e-mail, and I will see what I can do with it for you.

Currently, I have uploaded two documents to the website, which include the family of James K. Isett and an interview with Paul Dillon, a local Civilian Conservation Corps worker.

I'm sure our members have a wealth of information to share.  I invite you to add your own documents for others to enjoy and learn from.  As always, you can continue to add photos in the Photo Albums section that are in photo formats like .jpeg, .tiff, etc.  Thanks for your continued support of the Genealogy of the Woodcock Valley website.
