Other than having all of your brick walls magically crumble to reveal the long lost truths, what are you putting on your genealogy wish list this year for the holidays? Are you hoping for some special books, magazine subscriptions, society memberships, electronic gadgets, or some other special tools?
I have a few books on my list, but more than anything, I just wish for the time to read the ones I have and scour them for new information. Like everything else in my life, I am a collector of books, and am guilty of not reading most of what I have!
I have some books about the local area or written by local authors on my links page. You might want to check out some of them this holiday season. If you know of other books that are still in print, please let me know so I can add them to the list.
For those who aren't into electronic gadgets like cell phones full of applications, laptops, and other electronic devices that you can take with you while researching, I have affiliated with Pocket Tree, which offers a genealogy tool that you can complete with an old fashioned pencil and take with you as an aid when you are researching. It allows you to record multiple generations of information in a pocket-sized case.
Do you know of exciting new tools and genealogy items, or a tried and true item? If so, please share with us!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and receive everything on your genealogy wish list!
