New Court Records Up and Isett Chatter

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 11:07 PM

It's been a very busy day...e-mail was hopping and took a lot of time tonight.  However, I did manage to get some new court records posted from the Huntingdon County Courthouse.  They are listed by family name.

I also made a new contact today with an Isett researcher! Sharon Pratt joined the site. I always get that wiggly feeling when I find another Isett researcher! The name is so unique that when you make contact, you just know you are related. But, like any other name, I have lots of UNconnected Isett names just sitting and waiting in my database. Let's get some Isett discussion going - Sharon is from the Isaac Hallman and Rebecca Isett line, which goes back to the string of Frederick Isett names.

My husbands GG Grandfather was Simon Isett. His wife was Caroline (Beamer) Isett. They are both buried in Duncansvill, Blair, Pennsylvania at the Carosn Valley Cemetery. There is also another Simon Isett buried there. The information states: Simon Isett, Died 02/26/1822, 70y/5m/12d. Plot # 144-14Koon Section. Does anyone out there know anything about either of these Simon's ?? They have been my brick wall.
