Shultz and Grubb Family Photos

Posted on February 2, 2011 at 7:27 PM

Today, site member Kathleen (Grubb) Holder started adding photos to a new Isaac and Rachel (Shultz) Grubb Collection photo album.  The original photo album was created by Isaac Bowers Grubb (1866-1946) and his wife, Rachel Ann (Shultz) Grubb (1875-1964).  The album was passed down to their daughter, Martha "Martie" (Grubb) Robbins (1899-1974).  It appears as if the album was probably put together by Rachel, because there are more Shultz photos than the Grubb side of the family.  However, Kathleen indicated that most of the photos are not marked, so there are a lot of unknowns.  Kathleen is planning to continue adding photos, and will also post the unknowns as time permits.

I also added some various family photos and documents today.  I added some to the Norris, Kinch, and Creighton Family albums.

Thankfully, the horrible ice storm that was predicted for the Woodcock Valley area turned to the north.  We got just enough ice to be a headache, but it could have been a whole lot worse.  The power has remained on so far, but it is horribly windy this evening.

I just put a note on Martin's picture. He is my 3rd great-grand uncle. His brother David is my 3rd great-grandfather. This is great!!

Does your album include a picture of Malinda, third wife of William Henry Shultz? Malinda Detwiler married William Henry Shontz, Davis G. Enyeart and William Henry Shultz.

SORRY! In my original blog post above, I referred to Isaac Bowers Grubb's wife as Rebecca...I have Rebecca in my head! However, her name was Rachel Ann Shultz. I edited my blog post and corrected it, but if any of you took that name for your family file, please correct it to Rachel Ann and NOT Rebecca! Sorry for the mental brain freeze!
