Mary A. Isett. She was born at Spruce

Lydia
A. Peightal, widow of the late David,
died in Henderson Township at age 55. She was a daughter of Nicholas

Robert
E. Plummer, age 68, of Washington, DC, passed
away Wednesday, April 4, 2007. Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Noel
Niehaus Plummer; his mother, Margaret Weltmer; sister Kay Shade and husband
Ted; nieces Aubrey Shade, Tiffany Spolan and husband Mike; great-niece
Mercedes; and great-nephew Zachary. He was preceded in death by his father
Robert B. Plummer; and stepmother Elizabeth. Bob was born in Altoona, PA on
November 5, 1938. He worked happily for over 20 years at the Federal
Communications Commission as a file and mail clerk in the Media Bureau, Audio
Division. Bob loved sports, whether watching the Redskins or Nationals or
playing for the Media Bureau softball team. He also enjoyed socializing with
his friends of the JFK club and traveling. Bob was beloved by his family and
many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 at
Westminster Presbyterian Church, 400 I St. SW. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to Iona Senior Services of DC or Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society. Published in The

Mrs.
Emma Alice Irwin Watson, wife of John F. Watson died at
her home at 1030 3rd Ave., of pneumonia last evening. She was born 3/12/1864 in Bellwood, a
daughter of Susanne and Alexander Irwin, both deceased. She was the last survivor of her immediate
family. She was married 1/19/1887; he
survives along with Mrs. Catherine Creighton, Mrs. Esther McConnell, Mrs.
Florence Schachtner, Elmer, Eva, and Lillian Watson, all of Altoona. 10 grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Methodist Church and
Camp 49, P. O. of A. Funeral services

John
Watson of Shaver's Creek drown in the
Huntingdon Dam. He was about 35. The Huntingdon American dated
5/5/1858
Mary E. Whitfield died 3/19/2002 at Conemaugh Memorial
Medical Center in Johnstown. She was born 4/29/1915 in Juniata, a
daughter of Charles Edward and Cora Ann (Thompson) Hall. She married
Clifton A. Whitfield on 2/14/1937 in Altoona. He died 11/4/1900.
Children include: Cora married Reon Cook, Lyn married Robert Karns,
Faun married Richard Howsare, Dorothy married Paul Vensel. Siblings include:
Margaret Ruth Sommerville. Deceased family members include: daughter Mary
“Frankie” Martz wife of Gary L., son Charles T. husband of Carol W.,
granddaughter Natalie, great-grandson John, brothers Clyde R. and Edward
C. She was a 1934 graduate of Bedford High School. Burial in Union Cemetery in
Centerville.
