James Newton Bumgardner died in Mill Creek on December 11. He was born 2/26/1871 in Calvin, a son of Harry B. and Mary (Prough). He married Frances Few on 10/22/1895 in Huntingdon. He retired in August 1936 from the PRR. Survived by: wife, and children: Mrs. Nellie Hawn, W. Ross. Siblings include: Grant, John. Burial at Riverview in Mill Creek. Archie Claar Collection

Joyce A. Bumgardner, wife of Henry R., died in Williamsburg. She was born in Williamsburg on 7/11/1885, a daughter of John H. and Nancy Jane (Acker) Brumbaugh. She was married on 1/2/1909. Survived by: father, husband, children: John E., Kenneth L., K. Glenn, Richard, Mrs. Winifred Wasson. Siblings include: Howard, Viola, Earnest A., Grace Dunkle. Martin Bumgardner died in J. C. Blair Hospital on 12/29/1938. He was born 1/27/1864, a son of Lewis and Sophia (Park). He married Mary Ellen Swope on 2/5/1886; she died 5 years ago.
